01 What data we collect

When you submit a profile claim through our Discord server, we collect and store the following:

• Your chosen username.
• Your display name, bio, and location (if provided).
• Social media handles and links you submit.
• Avatar and background image URLs you supply.
• Your accent colour and any music player settings.
• Your Discord user ID, used to identify who submitted the claim.

We may also collect basic server access logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and uptime monitoring purposes. These are not linked to individual profiles.

02 How we use your data

The data you provide is used solely to build and display your profile page at soko.lol/username. Specifically:

• Your username, bio, links, and social handles are displayed publicly on your profile page.
• Your Discord ID is used internally to associate your claim with your account. It is never displayed publicly.
• Access logs are used only for monitoring abuse and maintaining uptime.

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

03 Data we don't collect

To be explicit about what we do not do:

• We do not collect email addresses.
• We do not collect payment information of any kind.
• We do not track your browsing behaviour across other websites.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not run advertising on the platform.

04 Cookies & local storage

soko.lol does not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

Your light/dark theme preference may be saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it between visits. This data never leaves your device.

05 Third parties

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the platform:

• Google Fonts — used to load typefaces. Google may log requests from your browser. See Google's privacy policy for details.
• Discord — used for claim submissions and support. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own privacy policy.
• Our CDN — profile assets (images, logos) may be served via our CDN which is ran on cloudflare pages. No personal data is shared with the CDN beyond what is needed to serve files.
• Our Site - your bio and our main page is held and ran on vercel servers.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external sites linked from profile pages.

06 Data retention

Your profile data is retained for as long as your profile exists on the platform. If you request deletion of your profile, all associated data will be removed within 7 days.

The vercel / cloudflare pages logs does not (as far as we know) collect and log ips that we can view.

07 Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of any inaccurate data on your profile.
• Request deletion of your profile and all associated data.
• Object to how your data is being used.

To exercise any of these rights, open a ticket in our Discord server. We will respond within 48 hours.

08 Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last changed. Significant updates will be announced in our Discord server.

Continued use of soko.lol after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
